Small team, real ownership
We hire few people and give each of them a lot of room. If you want to own decisions rather than implement someone else's, this is the right size of company.
What working here is like
You will talk to clients. Everyone does, including engineers — sitting in a ward or a warehouse watching how work actually happens is the most useful hour of any project, and we don't filter it through a proxy.
You will own things end to end. Features go from data model to interface with one person accountable, rather than passed across three teams and a handover document.
You will write things down. Documentation is part of shipping here, not a chore assigned afterwards. It's how we make no-lock-in a real promise rather than a slogan.
And you will be on call occasionally, because we run systems people depend on. It's shared fairly, compensated, and the rota is never a surprise.
Open roles
Where we're hiring
If none of these fit but you think you should be here, write to us anyway. We've created roles for the right person before.
Senior full-stack engineer
You'll own features end to end on client platforms — data model, API, interface — and join discovery sessions rather than receiving tickets.
Product designer
Interface design and the writing inside it, across client portals and our own platform. You'll maintain the design system and be in the room during discovery.
Implementation engineer
Migration, integration and go-live support. The person clients rely on during the two weeks that decide whether a project is judged a success.
DevOps / infrastructure engineer
On-premise and cloud deployments, monitoring, backups and restore drills. You'll define the standard rather than inherit one.
Hiring process
Four steps, about two weeks
No take-home that eats your weekend, no whiteboard algorithm puzzles, and a decision either way with a reason attached.
Application
Send your CV and anything you've built. A repository, a live product or a written case study all count more than a cover letter.
Conversation
Forty-five minutes with someone who does the job you're applying for. Mostly about work you've already done and decisions you made in it.
Paid exercise
A small, realistic piece of work, timeboxed to four hours and paid at your day rate. You keep the code either way.
Offer
A decision within three working days of the exercise, with feedback whichever way it goes. Salary stated up front, not negotiated from an anchor.
Speculative applications
Nothing here fits?
Send us what you've built and what you'd want to work on. We read everything and reply to everyone, usually within a week.
